Annette Bik, violin
Annette Bik, born in 1962, studied at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Helmut Zehetmair, where she passed her diploma with a distinction. Subsequently, she studied at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna with Ernst Kovacic for another two years. From 1982 to 1987 she was a member of the Hagen Quartett (winning prizes in large international competitions, recording award winning records, and undertaking worldwide concert tours), and from 1988 to 1993 of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. For many years Annette Bik performed with Gidon Kremer and other renowned musicians such as Heinrich Schiff and Thomas Zehetmair on a regular basis as well as with the Concentus Musicus Wien. Since 1989 she has been a member of Klangforum Wien and performs regularly in concerts as a soloist and as a chamber musician. In 2003 she also founded “Attensam”, a Schrammel-Quartett, since 2006 she is assistant to Prof Ernst Kovacic at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
